Ohio Social Studies Resource Center (OSSRC)
The Ohio Social Studies Resource Center was formed in 2004 by a coalition of educational agencies to endorse the value of Social
Studies education and ensure that Ohio’s schoolchildren are armed with the knowledge they need to be successful in higher education
and the global workforce. The OSSRC is operated under the umbrella of the Ohio Historical Society’s Office of Statewide Outreach. Currently, the OSSRC
provides free access to a web database of resources for teachers in grades K-12. Resources include peer-reviewed Social Studies content,
assessment tools and lesson plans that align with the Ohio Social Studies Academic Content Standards as determined by the Ohio Department
of Education.
