The phrase "no RC-3 required" should only be used for transient records series that hold very little administrative value to the office or person creating the records. Transitory records do not set policy, establish guidelines or procedures, certify a transaction or become a receipt.Examples of transient record series include:
These types of records should be retained until no longer of administrative value, then destroyed.
