The Educational Services office offers an array of educational programs and special services to school groups, teachers, and the public. ![]()
School Programs
Field trips range from on site tours, which can include special programs or workshops. Outreach Programs can be brought to your classroom for a nominal fee. The History to Go Van can visit your school for 1/2 or full day sessions. Case History or Educational Kit trunks that contain artifacts, documents, on a wide range of specific topics that can be rented for a week. Distance Learning Programs, interactive live teleconferencing classroom programs, on various historical topics are broadcast on a reservation basis. ![]() Public Programs Public programs include lectures by speakers of such international stature as Richard Leakey, the noted anthropologist, as well as dinner-concerts, theatrical presentations, holiday celebrations, reenactments, conferences, and workshops and seminars for adults, children, and families on topics ranging from the Underground Railroad to tinsmithing. ![]() Facilities invites groups, businesses and organizations to make use of select areas in the museum and Ohio Village for meetings, dinners, company picnics, and special occasions. Group tours may also select from a wide range of activities. A diverse array of dining options, special tours and events are also available during the holiday season.
