MAKE A PENNY PILLOW IN HERITAGE WORKSHOP
Ohio Historical Society workshop on Jan. 21 features old-time craft
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Want to learn a craft that entertained your great-grandmother? The Ohio Historical Society will teach you in a workshop Sunday, Jan. 21, 1 to 4 p.m., the steps in making a “penny pillow” – a colorful eight-inch pillow with thread embellishment reminiscent of the old-time wool penny rugs. Choose between a bird or flower design and tailor it to your own color scheme. Materials needed to create this small wonder of domestic decoration will be provided.
Admission is $30/person or $25/member of the Ohio Historical Society. Parking is $4/vehicle and free to members. Reservations required. Call 614.297.2666 or 800.686.1541
